Students at our Antigua and San Rafael sites get to choose a gift such as a game, book, soccer ball, or doll in addition to their family’s gift of a food basket.  Students at New Hope are not available to receive a Christmas gift because the holiday falls during Guatemala’s “summer vacation.” They celebrate at the end of the school year instead with a field trip to a local amusement park, where they can choose their rides and enjoy a special lunch.
